Among these, NFTs have garnered immense popularity due to their verifiability, immutability, and tradeability, especially in the realms of Web3 and the metaverse.
Today, we’ll introduce you to the top NFT projects in the TON ecosystem over the past month.
- Telegram Usernames
In October 2022, Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced the launch of username trading on Fragment. This feature allows Telegram usernames to be transformed into NFTs and traded.
In traditional online social spaces, users often express their individuality through nicknames, personal IDs, or virtual avatars, indicating that these elements hold a certain value. With the introduction of username trading on Fragment, this value gains liquidity. Any user can convert their Telegram username into an NFT using Fragment and sell it. Likewise, users can purchase their favorite usernames and use them on Telegram.
When converting a Telegram username to an NFT, users need to pay a one-time fee of 5 Toncoin, and after a successful auction, the platform charges a 5% fee.
2. Telegram Virtual Numbers
Telegram virtual numbers, also introduced by Fragment, are NFTs with numbers starting with “+888”. These numbers are primarily used for registering Telegram accounts and are based on the TON blockchain.
Telegram virtual numbers not only enhance user privacy but also hold some collectible value, with initial prices hovering around 180 Toncoin. With the continuous development of the TON ecosystem, the applications for these virtual numbers may expand. Interested users can purchase Telegram virtual numbers on NFT trading platforms such as Fragment, TON Diamonds, or Getgems.
3. MONAKI
MONAKI aims to create a vibrant, fashionable, and thriving community. Based in Serbia, MONAKI consists of over ten members from around the world.
MONAKI has currently released two NFT series. The first, named “MONAKI,” consists of 999 pieces. The second series, “MONAKI: The Scammers,” was launched on October 6, 2023, with 4,444 pieces available at an issuance price of 20 Toncoin. The current floor price is approximately 10 Toncoin.
MONAKI’s NFT series not only exude a sense of fashion but also have a roadmap to offer more use cases for the two series. For instance, staking NFTs can earn $MONK rewards, and the rarer the NFT, the greater the rewards. MONAKI also plans to launch its own play-to-earn (P2E) game, granting special privileges to players holding NFTs.
4. TON DNS
TON DNS, launched in July 2022, is a distributed domain name system based on TON, similar to Ethereum’s ENS. TON DNS, abbreviated as TNS, can be resolved as a computer-readable identifier. Users who obtain TNS can use it as a nickname or wallet address. For developers, TON DNS domain names can replace smart contract addresses.
Currently, TON DNS can be traded on NFT markets within the TON ecosystem, and services like Tonkeeper, TON Web Wallet, and Tonscan have integrated support for TON DNS. Users with TON DNS should note that the service is not permanent, and after the service expires, they will need to pay a certain amount of TON to renew it.
The floor price for TON DNS is around 2 Toncoin. However, domain names with collectible value can also be sold for high prices. For instance, the domain names “Wallet.ton” and “Casino.ton” were sold for $260,000 and $240,000 respectively.
5. TON Diamonds
Ton Diamonds NFTs are issued by Ton Diamonds. Ton Diamonds is an NFT trading platform based on TON. Unlike similar platforms like Getgems, Ton Diamonds has access to a pool of artists and has collaborated to release exclusive NFT series.
The Ton Diamonds NFT series consists of different-sized diamonds, categorized into large, medium, and small. Users holding NFTs of different sizes can enjoy varying benefits on Ton Diamonds, such as fee reductions and project airdrops.
To further empower Ton Diamonds NFTs, the platform provides staking functionality for NFT owners. By holding these NFTs, users can earn $Glint as a reward. Users can check the number in the top left corner of the NFT on the Ton Diamonds platform to know how much $Glint reward they can receive daily.
